Unlock Your Fun: Top PS Plus Free Games - April 2025!

Another month, another round of PS Plus free games to play - and we've got all the April 2025 games revealed!
For fans of '70s and '80s cult classics, you're in luck, as there are a couple of tie-in games from some vaunted franchises.
Digimon and JRPG fans are well-served too!
Sadly, as is always the case, some games will be disappearing, but there is still some time to claim them before March ends.
If you've already saved some money from using one of our PlayStation 5 Deals, PS Plus offers even more value, as quite often the games included well exceed how much the monthly subscription is.
On that, we have more details about PS Plus as well if you want to see what other goodies are in store for you!
PS Plus free games for April 2025 confirmed
PS Plus Essential members will get the following free games from 1st April until 5th May 2025:
- RoboCop: Rogue City
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
- Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory
RoboCop: Rogue City is a great romp through Detroit that takes place between the second and third movies in the film franchise, and we had a blast (as did criminals to the face) with it when it first released. For no extra cost, it's a no-brainer to try this one out.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a fun asymmetrical horror game that sees players donning the leather mask or running from it. Though the evenings are getting longer and spring is in the air, there's still ample darkness for a little early Halloween fun.
Pokémon schmokémon - this month is all about digital monsters with Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory. First released in 2017, this RPG sees Keisuke Amasawa delving into the Digital World seeking their innocence after being framed for a crime they didn't commit.
What's leaving PS Plus this month?
The Essential games for March, listed below, stop being available to claim after 31st March.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
- Sonic Colors
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
What do you get with the other PS Plus tiers?
Even more games are available with the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus (Extra and Premium). We're still unsure what else will be added to the other tiers, but we got plenty of new games recently.
Information on March's Extra and Premium selection of games for subscribers to claim hasn't appeared yet.
As soon as the list appears, we'll be sure to update the page with the latest information.
Below is a list of February's Premium and Extra tiers:
- Patapon 3
- Dropship: United Peace Force
The following games are live on the PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalogues on 18th February 2025:
- Lost Records: Bloom and Rage - Tape 1
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
- TopSpin 2K25
- SaGa Frontier Remastered
- Somerville
- Tin Hearts

What to play on PS Plus – our recommendations
If you're looking for some other great games to play in the PS Plus Game Catalogue, we'd recommend these ones for sure:

- Days Gone (PS4)
- Demon's Souls (PS5)
- DOOM Eternal (PS4, PS5)
- Horizon Forbidden West (PS4, PS5)
As well as all the games included in the other tiers, PS Plus Premium lets you download and play older titles from PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP to harken back to a simpler time and relive your younger years.
PS3 games are only available via cloud streaming and this is region-dependent, but the UK is included in this list, so we don't miss out.
See below for a selection of classics you can revisit:
- Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (PS1)

- Cyberpunk 2077 – Five hours
